We have been so swamped with work lately that sadly this blog post was put on the back burner. But now that things have calmed down, those of us here at Richard Ellis Photography could not be more excited to share this wedding with you! We had so much fun shooting this couple and came away with so many wonderful images that we have decided to split it into two blog posts. Today's post will be about the preparations and early next week we'll be back with the ceremony and reception! So stay tuned...
Olivia and Andrew were married on a crisp fall day in November at the stunning Veritas Vineyard of Charlottesville, Virginia. The setting could not have been more beautiful with the leaves changing color and the blue ridge mountains as a backdrop.
Olivia and her bridesmaids had a great time laughing and joking around. They are a close-knit group and it really comes across in the pictures.
Some wedding day blingOlivia and Andrew chose to have a 'first look' before the ceremony. A 'first look' is when the couple meets in private, before the ceremony to have a quiet moment together. As a photographer this is always my favorite part of the day as the emotions of the couple can really be caught on camera and they are not consumed with the pressure of the ceremony or distractions from family. It is their own special moment to appreciate one another in the midst of a hectic day.
Following the 'first look' we continued on to Veritas Vineyard where the ceremony and reception were to be held. The setting was absolutely perfect as the last of the fall leaves were in color and the Blue Ridge mountains formed the background for the rows of grapevines with golden leaves.
Stay tuned for the ceremony and reception posting early next week...
