Wedding: Jennifer and Patrick

Jennifer and Patrick were married under the avenue of oaks at Charlestowne Landing on the last Saturday in February. The historic grounds of the first Charleston settlement was the ideal location for the couple to wed as six months prior Patrick proposed under the exact same oaks with his great-grandmother's engagement ring. The groom is an archeologist and history buff so their wedding was infused with elements paying homage to their families and the past. The couple cut their first slice of cake together using Patrick's great-grandmothers cake knife and Jennifer carried a sixpence in her shoe from the 1500's. For their reception at the Legare Waring House the couple chose an elegant palate of ivory and champagne. Country & Lace decorated the space with green flower arrangements complimenting the natural setting while Linda Blackwell crafted a classic four-tiered cream colored cake. Saigon Catering provided a fusion of Asian low-country fare while guests danced under the stars to the Joe Clark Big Band.
